Jacksonville Child Photographer

This child session was actually taken at the Jacksonville Zoo. We were not planning on taking any pictures with the animals just planning on taking pictures where there was pretty light. These pictures were taken from about 11-noon. While this can be a time of the day where the light can be harsh we just found locations of open shade.  I think consideration of light is important when you plan to take photos. You can take pictures anywhere but not necessarily at any time of day (because of the sunlight). We don’t want harsh shadows across someone’s face or underneath their eyes. You can take pictures at any time of the day but not necessarily at any location. So, if you have a specific location and background then you need to figure out what time of the day is best to take those pictures.

Let’s get back to these adorable girls. We had a lot of fun and saw some animals between wardrobe changes. Having an activity to do made the session less stressful. This gave the girls lots of breaks and distractions instead of just taking photos the whole time. The purple flowers were just the perfect back drop for a little girl who recently turned one! Her and her sister were so cute singing together. We sang “if you’re happy and you know it,” kids relate so well to music. The girls were so excited to sing, clap and giggle through the song.  Momma was super prepared for multiple outfits with snacks and wipes. These girls were such a pleasure to photograph. Jacksonville Beach Family Photography

This family session took place at the pier at Jacksonville Beach. This family was not only good looking but they are so full of energy. They were willing to run around, play and throw sand. If you want to plan a beach session you definitely have to plan on taking lifestyle pictures as well as portraits because you can’t help but play at the beach.

It was so fun to hear about what they saw and did at the beach. The boys learned how to boogie board. They became more confident in the waves each time they went in. They got to watch the fisherman fish and touch a baby shark that was caught! They also found a starfish and jellyfish. They even saw a waterspout off of Jacksonville Beach once. Of course their was lots of digging, sand castles and shells.

You wouldn’t be able to tell from the photos but we took them on a weekend night so the beach was quite crowded. We just positioned everyone in the little pockets where there were no people. Beach Photography

Target Lifestyle Session- Jacksonville

A lifestyle session at Target. I think I can relate to this post a lot. Going to the store with a couple of kids wandering around, playing in the toy aisle and of course finishing the trip with buying things I wasn’t planning to in the first place. Target does it again. I love the idea of capturing my every day activities that I do.

I learned a couple of new ways to ride the shopping cart. The way the eldest girl rode the cart at the end of the session totally caught me off guard. I looked at mom and she said yep that’s how she rides the cart. My kids would love to know all these other ways to ride the shopping cart. To see more of this session continue after the jump.
